We already have Google Analytics do we actually need anything else?

Having Google Analytics installed and having it working correctly are two very different things. Most GA4 setups we audit are missing key conversion events, tracking purchases incorrectly, or counting sessions in ways that make the data unreliable. Before assuming your analytics is fine, it's worth having someone check whether what's being collected actually reflects what's happening on your site.

What's the difference between analytics and business intelligence?

Analytics typically refers to tracking and measuring what's happening traffic, conversions, revenue. Business intelligence goes a step further combining data from multiple sources (marketing, sales, operations) to give leadership a broader view of business performance and support strategic decisions. In practice, for most growing businesses, the line between the two blurs — which is why we cover both.

Our data across platforms never seems to match why does this happen?

This is extremely common and usually comes down to how each platform counts conversions. Google Ads, Meta, and GA4 all use different attribution models and counting windows so the same sale can appear in multiple platforms simultaneously. Getting to a single source of truth requires setting consistent attribution rules and often a unified reporting layer that reconciles data across sources.

Do we need a data warehouse or is that overkill for our size?

For most small to mid-sized businesses, a data warehouse is overkill tools like Looker Studio connected directly to GA4, Google Ads, and your ecommerce platform give you everything you need without the cost and complexity. We'll recommend the right infrastructure for your actual data volume and reporting needs, not the most impressive-sounding solution.

How do we know which marketing channels are actually driving revenue?

This is an attribution question and the honest answer is that no single attribution model gives you the complete picture. What we do is set up multi-touch tracking that shows you how different channels contribute across the customer journey, combined with revenue-based reporting that goes beyond last-click attribution. It won't be perfect, but it'll be far more accurate than what most businesses are working with.
